TULIP BOWL IN PORCELAIN

Our Tulip Bowls are made of a high quality porcelain which is very expensive because it is made of the highest quality ingredients from around the world. Once the bowl is fired to 2400 degrees it will be translucent in the places that it is thinner. Each one is unique with variations in size and shape. I make them by throwing a thick cylinder on the hump and shaping it into a triangle. After I have done this, I take a cheese slicer and cut off each point and side of the triangle. Then I shape the form from the inside only, pushing the clay as far as I can. The results are amazing and they have become my personal favorite piece to drink wine from.
